Stephen Ray Curtis, 65, of Mt. Sterling passed away Thursday, March 11, 2021 at the VA Healthcare Lexington. He was born April 5, 1955 to the late Henry Clay Curtis and Stella Ruth Donaldson.  He a plumbing supervisor for Senninger Plumbing and a retired US Marine.

He is survived by his life partner, Melanie Spicer of Winchester, KY; four sons, Henry "Hank" Curtis (Candis) of Mt. Sterling, KY, Shane Finch (Mandy) of Nicholasville, KY, Eric Hudson (Mandy) of Winchester, KY and Micah Williams (Arris) of Mt. Sterling, KY; eight daughters, Davena Hamm (Ricky) of Mt. Sterling, KY, Christy Curtis of Mt. Sterling, KY, Stacey Dunaway (Shawn) of Mt. Sterling, KY, Shondra Morrison of Winchester, KY, April Roberts (Aaron) of Winchester, KY, Rachel Premi (Kunal) of Winchester, KY, Rebecca Hilario (Michael) of Winchester, KY and Grace Spicer of Winchester, KY; four brothers, James Curtis (Charlene) of Wilmore, KY, Tony Curtis of Mt. Sterling, KY, Ronnie Curtis of Mt. Sterling, KY and Robert Curtis of Mt. Sterling, KY; two sisters, Alma Conner (Lynn) of Mt. Sterling, KY and Sandy Patton (Anthony) of Mt. Sterling, KY; twenty grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held 12 PM, Tuesday, March 16, 2021 at Taul Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Paul Prather, burial following at Camp Nelson, Nicholasville, KY at 2:30 PM.  A visitation will be held 10 AM-12 PM, Tuesday, March 16, 2021 at Taul Funeral Home Chapel.  Pallbearers will be Hank Curtis, Shane Finch, Phillip Breeding, Jimmy Isaacs, Lawrence Russell, Bud Brown and Chris Sutter.  Honorary pallbearers will be Eric Hudson, Micah Williams, Shawn Dunaway and Ricky Hamm.
