Tammy Lavon Cox, 62, of Wellington passed away Tuesday, April 16, 2024 at St. Joseph Hospital Lexington, KY.  She was born July 18, 1961 in Dayton, OH to Katherine Ballenger and the late Gene Whitaker.  She was a retired Respiratory Therapist from Mary Chiles Hospital and in Foster Care for 17 years in Morehead, KY.

She is survived by her mother, Katherine Ballenger of Wellington, KY; sons, Richard Cox of Wellington, KY, Tyler Cox of Winchester, KY and Andrew Cox of Wellington, KY; brother, Gene Whitaker (Jennifer) of West Liberty, KY; a grandchild, Jackson Cox; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her father, she is preceded in death her husband, Randy Cox.

Funeral services will be held 1 PM, Friday, April 19, 2024 at Taul Funeral Home Chapel Frenchburg with Bro. Rodney Coffey officiating, burial following at Cox Cemetery.  Visitation will be held 12 PM-1 PM, Friday, April 19, 2024 at Taul Funeral Home Chapel Frenchburg.  Pallbearers will be Andrew Cox, Tyler Cox, Richard Cox, Gene Whitaker, Tracy Little and Bill Lane.
