Teddy Lee Hughes, 64, of Mt. Sterling passed away Wednesday, October 18, 2023 at St. Joseph Hospital Mt. Sterling.  He was born May 29, 1959 to the late Lloyd Franklin "LF" and Joyce Flawn Hughes.  He retired from K-I Lumber and was a member of Stanton First Church of God, Mt. Sterling Masonic Lodge #23 and Olieka Shriners Lexington.

He is survived by his wife, Lisa Barnett Hughes of Mt. Sterling, KY; daughters, Courtney Nixon (Tayler) of Mt. Sterling, KY and Allison Roland (Phillip) of Hope, KY; brothers, Alton Hughes (Kathy) of Stanton, KY, Tyler Hughes (Hyla Joan) of Stanton, KY and Sammy Hughes (Pam) of Olive Hill, KY; sisters, Hattie Jones (James) of Bowen, KY, Kathy Couch of Beattyville, KY and Rosa Elliott of Findlay, OH; and grandchildren, Colt, Sawyer, Briggs and Atleigh.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by brothers, Danny Hughes and Dean Hughes; and sisters, Betty Caskey, Estille King and Dollie Jean Hughes.

Funeral services will be held 12 PM, Monday, October 23, 2023 at Taul Funeral Home Chapel with Pastors Rob Rice, Martin Hughes and Larry Mullins officiating, burial following at Machpelah Cemetery.  Visitation will be held 2-7 PM, Sunday, October 22, 2023 at Taul Funeral Home Chapel with Masonic Services starting at 7 PM.  Pallbearers will be William Girod, August Girod, Joe Girod, Pete Girod, Ervin Girod, Levi Girod and Jacob Girod, Jr.  Honorary pallbearers will be Brayden Barnett, Adam Barnett, Jonathon Barnett, Andrew Barnett, Phillip Roland, Tayler Nixon, Barry McCoy, Greg Barnett and Chris Barnett.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Stanton First Church of God, PO Box 325, Stanton, KY 40380 or Olieka Shriners Lexington, 326 Southland Drive, Lexington, KY 40503.
