Thelma G. Bond, 92, of Mt. Sterling passed away Wednesday, September 30, 2020 at Bluegrass Hospice Care in Lexington, KY.  She was born August 10, 1928 to the late Gifford and Beatrice Proffitt Grooms.  She was a member of Church of the Nazarene, Salvation Army and a retired Pharmacy Tech for Mary Chiles Hospital.

She is survived by three sons, David Gifford Bond of Mt. Sterling, KY, Verl Holt Bond (Adele) of Kettering, OH and Johnathan Wayne Bond of Dayton, OH; one sister, Diane Morgan (Frank) of Vandalia, OH; five grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Holt Bond; one son, Mark Lee Bond; one brother, Kenneth Grooms; and one sister, Donna Joyce.

Funeral service will be held 2 pm Tuesday, October 6, 2020 at the Taul Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. John Kohr officiating.  Visitation will be held 1-2 PM, Tuesday, October 6, 2020 at Taul Funeral Home Chapel.  A private graveside commital service will take place at 11 am Wednesday at the Machpelah Cemetery.   Pallbearers will be Chris Frazier, Joseph Frazier, David Bond, Steve Joyce, Peter Camacho and Barry Frazier.   In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Church of Nazarene True Life Community, PO Box 843, Mt.
