Obituary

Thelma June Gulley, 91, of Sharpsburg passed away Thursday, January 27, 2022 at St. Joseph Hospital-Mt. Sterling.  She was born March 2, 1930 to the late Audie Lee Hunt and Lena Frances Gray.  She was a member of St. Julie Catholic Church, served on Sharpsburg City Council for many years and a retired Business Owner.

She is survived by a daughter, Paula Sue Thomas (Doug) of Frenchburg, KY; two grandchildren, Ewell Clay Thomas and Paul Douglas Thomas; and two great grandchildren, Matti Thomas and Landon Thomas.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Ewell Gulley; two brothers, Cash Hunt and Ralph Hunt; and a sister, Ura Bane.

A private graveside service will be at Crown Hill Cemetery with Deacon Bill Grimes officiating.  Pallbearers will be Paul Norman Thompson, John Emmitt Thompson, CC Thompson, Wayne Toy, Jeff Cassidy and Ewell Thomas.  Honorary pallbearers will be John Dunaway, Moon Cassidy, Paul Hunt Thompson and George Wosnicki.  Taul Funeral Homes are in charge of arrangements.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Julie Catholic Church, 77 East Main Street, Owingsville, KY 40360 or New Hope Clinic, PO Box 1088, Owingsville, KY 40360.  Taul Funeral Homes are in charge of arrangements.
