Thelma Smith Snelling, 79, of Mt. Sterling passed away Wednesday, December 2, 2020 at Clark Regional Medical Center.  She was born May 9, 1941 to the late Roscoe and Mazie Adkins Smith.

She is survived by one son, Tommy Snelling (Mary) of Mt. Sterling, KY; two daughters, Shelia Liggett (Russell) of Owingsville, KY and Linda Henderson (Richard) of Mt. Sterling, KY; one brother, Don Smith (Maxine) of Camargo, KY; seven sisters, Mae Arnold of Flemingsburg, KY, Ivory Snelling of Stanton, KY, Ruth Sexton of Jeffersonville, KY and Lena Moore (JC) of Owingsville, KY, Patty Smith of Owingsville, KY, Alice Manning of Maysville, KY  and Peggy Link of Preston, KY; seven grandchildren; and eleven great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Allen B. Snelling; one son, Donnie Snelling; one brother, James Smith; and one sister, Faye White.

A private family service will be held in compliance with the Executive Orders that have been set forth by the Governor.
