Thurman Lee Centers, 85, of Mt. Sterling passed away Monday March 6, 2023 at The Clark Regional Medical Center. He was born January 29,1938 in Ezel, Ky to the late Vivian Rowland and Courtney Centers. He was a member of the Reid Village Baptist Church, Licensed pilot, Kentucky Colonel, a virtual handyman , and loved to play cards with his friends.

He is survived by his wife Phoebe (Cox) Centers of Mt. Sterling, Ky; daughters, Bonnie Short (Bill) of Dayton OH, Cindy West (Tim) of Conroe,TX, and Terri McGuire (Brian) of Carlisle, OH; and a sister Mary Elizabeth Robbins of Dayton, OH. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his son, Shawn Centers; brother, Wilburn C. Centers; and his sister, Nora Jane Goodpaster.

Funeral services will be held Friday, March 10th, 2023, at the Reid Village Baptist Church in Mt. Sterling, KY with the Rev. Todd Wiley officiating, burial following at the Ezel Cemetery in Ezel KY. Visitation will be held 11am until Noon Friday March 10th, 2023 at the Reid Village Baptist Church, Mt. Sterling, Ky. Pallbearers will be Larry Pitts. Michael Pitts, Frank Moore, Jeff Prater, Russell Sherlin, and Grant Sorrell. Honorary Pallbearers will be Mike Adams, Russell Fitzpatrick, Marion Liggett, John Baker, Bill Short and Johnathon Taylor.
