Viola Mae Martin Long, 89, of Mt. Sterling went home to be with Lord February 23, 2020 at her residence. She was born April 21, 1930 to the late Percy and Dosa Dell Cannon Martin. She was a member of First Baptist Church, she loved UK Basketball, gardening and flowers, her fish, crocheting, quilting and she always kept her hand and mind busy.

She is survived by her husband, Rev. Ollie Sherman Long, with whom she recently celebrated their 70th Wedding Anniversary; two sons, Anthony Long (Debbi) of Winchester, KY and Michael Long (Lynne) of Trussville, AL; three daughters, Donna Snowden (Rodney) of Jeffersonville, KY, Dianne Wood (Dan) of Mt. Sterling, KY and Karen Denise Hoskins of Mt. Sterling, KY; sixteen grandchildren; and twenty five great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by one son-in-law, Alan Hoskins; four brothers; and two sisters.

Funeral service will be held 11 AM, Thursday, February 27, 2020 at First Baptist Church with Rev. Bill Fort officiating, burial following at Machpelah Cemetery. Visitation will be held 5-8 PM, Wednesday, February 26, 2020 at First Baptist Church Mt. Sterling. Pallbearers will be Brandon Snowden, Michael Snowden, Roman Wood, Tommy Hunt, Anthony Hunt and Jason Tipton. Honorary pallbearers will be Agape Sunday School Class.
