Virginia Nelson Barnett, 89, of Jeffersonville passed away Tuesday, November 23, 2021 at Windsor Care Center.  She was born April 1, 1932 to the late Elbert Moore and Betty Bigstaff.  She was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church and retired from AO Smith after over 20 years. She loved watching mysteries and game shows on television and working word seek puzzles while enjoying a big cup of hot black coffee.

She is survived by a son, Carl Barnett of Jeffersonville, KY; a daughter, Connie Stewart (Johnny) of Stanford, KY; a granddaughter, Chandra Peake of Georgetown, KY; and three great grandchildren, Olivia Peake, Elijah Peake and Ian Peake.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Buford Barnett; two infant brothers, one daughter, Mary Barnett; and two sisters, Ida Mae Jones and Madge Moore; a nephew, Kenneth Jones and a niece, Donna Moore.

Funeral services will be held 1 PM, Monday, November 29, 2021 at Taul Funeral Home Chapel with Jim Skidmore officiating, burial following Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery.  Visitation will be 12-1 PM, Monday, November 29, 2021 at Taul Funeral Home Chapel. Pallbearers will be Charles Jones, Phillip Oakley, Tony Terry, Randy Myers, Elijah Peake and Ian Peake.
