William "Joker" Leonard Benson, 93, of Frenchburg passed away Saturday, July 6, 2024 at his residence.  He was born February 16, 1931 in Frenchburg, KY to the late Claude Benson and Clara Holland.  He attended Frenchburg First Church of God, was a retired Truck Driver and a United States Air Force Veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Peggy Benson of Frenchburg, KY; sons, Dwain Benson of Frenchburg, KY and Brian Benson (Debbie) of Frenchburg, KY; daughter-in-law, Lisa Benson of Frenchburg, KY; sister-in-laws, Mary Hanna Benson of Frenchburg, KY and Pat Benson of Dayton, OH; grandchildren, Courtney Moore (Tyler) and Whitney Burlinger (Javin); and five great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by sons, Tracy Benson and Jody Benson; brothers, Jim Benson, Bob Benson, Ed Benson, Wayne Benson, Charles Benson and Wilbur Benson; and sisters, Christine Siebert, Elizabeth Benson and Emma Benson.

Funeral services will be held 12 PM, Tuesday, July 9, 2024 at Frenchburg First Church of God with Rev. Mike Sexton officiating, burial following at Mack Cemetery.  Visitation will be held 11 AM-12 PM, Tuesday, July 9, 2024 at Frenchburg First Church of God.  Pallbearers will be Wayne Cole, Dillion Ingram, Omer Richardson, Brian Mettie and Willie Brown.
