William E. "Billy" Doyle, 87 of Mt. Sterling passed away Sunday, February 16, 2020 at Hospice Care Center St. Joseph Hospital Lexington. He was born April 20, 1932 to the late Davy and Hazel Applegate Doyle. He was a member of First Church of God, Army Veteran, retired form IBM, 14 year member of Montgomery County School Board, one of the founders of Mt. Sterling Little League Baseball and an avid gardener.

He is survived by one son, Glenn Foley (Patty) of Mt. Sterling, KY; one daughter, Alice Wittenback (John) of Elizabethtown, KY; one sister, Nell Martin of Mt. Sterling, KY; four grandchildren; and eleven great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Virginia Bashford Doyle; one daughter, Kathy Foley Jones; two brothers, Robert Doyle and Everett Doyle; and one sister, Thelma Hart.

Funeral services will be held 11 AM, Friday, February 21, 2020 at Taul Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Harry B. Jones officiating, burial following at Machpelah Cemetery. Visitation will be 5-8 PM, Thursday, February 20, 2020 at Taul Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Bill Foley, Marvin Rowe, Greg Bashford, Chuck Bashford, Anthony Thomas and Bobby Willoughby. Honorary pallbearers will be Kathie Lee, Shelly Williams, Crystal Breshear, Pat Creech, Joyce Hall, Kaye Rowe, Derek Ellington, Jimmy Conyers, John Dunaway, Jerry Dale Wilson, Earl Whitaker, Gerald Whitaker, Paul Lyons and William Terry.
