William "Bill" Skidmore, 83, of Cardinal Way, Mt. Sterling, Kentucky passed away Friday, February 11, 2022 at the St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington.  He was born in Powell County, Kentucky on May 21, 1938 the son of the late Sewell and Gladys Duff Skidmore.  He was veteran of the US Air Force, a member of the Ascension Episcopal Church and the owner of Conveyor Specialists, a nationwide construction business.

He is survived by his wife Brenda Lee Murray Skidmore of Mt. Sterling; and a special nephew, Shelby Reed.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Kimberly Skidmore Shortridge; two brothers, Theopolis "Tee" Skidmore and Roger Skidmore; and a sister, Pearl May Reed.

Funeral services will be at 2 PM, Thursday, February 17, 2022 at the Taul Funeral Home Chapel in Mt. Sterling with Bobby K. Whitaker officiating, burial following in the Machpelah Cemetery.  Friends may visit Thursday from 1 pm - 2 pm at the Taul Funeral Home.  Pallbearers will be Greg Camp, David Combs, Brian Jones, Shelby Reed, Nathan Shortridge and Taylor Thorne.  Honorary pallbearers will be Bob Combs, Jake Hartgrove, Bud Lane, John McCraken, Mark Rossetti and Tony Sapp. In Lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Gateway Area Humane Society, PO Box 123, Mt.
